A Crash Course In Finding Your Song
Right Choices are more to be valued than fine gold.
Choices reveal the song God wants us to sing.
Choosing God’s plan makes our song as clear as ABC.
A - Accept God’s plan for your life.
B - Believe He’ll meet all your needs.
C - Claim the peace God promises those who trust Him.
The most obvious sign of our relationship with God is how we talk. James says our words are to our lives what a bit is to a horse, a rudder to a ship or a spark to a forest fire. In other words, be careful what you say.
“There is one who speaks rashly, like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18
If I let my mind wander freely, I will think thoughts that, as a Christian, I don’t want to think. Through Paul, God told us how to keep our minds from pulling us in directions we don’t want to go.
“… Whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.” Philippians 4:8
If I deny myself worldly pleasures and let Jesus be the reason I make the choices I make, will I really be happy?
